I am 29 years old and have been practicing Tai Chi since 2004. I first came across Tai Chi when my friend introduced the idea...
We are very sad to have to announce the death of Ann Hamblen, one of the founder members of the Crane Moor Tai Chi group. Ann was a driving force in initially establishing the group which has been running for nearly ten years. From recruiting students in local villages to publicising more widely, Ann's enthusiasm for Tai Chi was evident and indeed vital in ensuring the continuity and longevity of the group. Despite some challenging times early on the group has gone from strength to strength and before lockdown the hall was full every week. Ann's unstinting determination and perseverance were matched by her wonderful warmth and humour. She always encouraged others and took a genuine interest in getting know and supporting all of her fellow students. I have very fond memories of Ann and know that she found Tai Chi a great help to her. She is very much missed by us all and will live long in our hearts.
