Dr Ye Jin, the foremost Wu Style Tai Chi teacher in Europe ran two workshops in Barnsley on Friday 27th February. The event at Mapplewell and Staincross Village Hall, organised by Mindful Tai Chi, gave students the rare opportunity to learn first hand from an internationally recognised master who is a direct descendant of the founder of this traditional style of Tai Chi. Students from classes at Hoyland Common, Crane Moor, Tankersley, Mapplewell and Horizon College have been learning Tai Chi as part of a health and wellbeing programme supported by PSS on behalf of Barnsley Council and Hillbrow GP practice. Dr Ye Jin, who is currently living in Huddersfield, met with 50 students to share some of her in-depth insights into Wu Style Tai Chi. The event was cover by the Barnsley Chronicle newspaper on Friday 13th March.
